American Chiropractic
– Gentle and Effective Care in Our Practice

American chiropractic is a holistic approach that focuses on the relationship between the nervous system and the function of the entire body.

In our practice in Berlin-Charlottenburg, we treat people of all ages – from infants and pregnant women to adults and athletes – using gentle, controlled chiropractic techniques based on the body’s natural regulatory mechanisms.

What Is American Chiropractic?

American chiropractic is based on the principle that every cell, organ and body system is controlled and coordinated by the nervous system. The spine plays a central role in this process, as it protects the spinal cord and houses the nerve pathways that transmit information between the brain and the body.

Functional misalignments or movement restrictions of individual vertebrae or intervertebral discs can irritate the nervous system. These disturbances are referred to as vertebral subluxation complexes and may interfere with communication within the body, disrupting regulatory processes.

The goal of American chiropractic is to identify these functional disturbances and correct them using gentle, precisely applied impulses. Rather than treating symptoms alone, chiropractic care supports the body in restoring and optimally utilizing its natural self-regulation and self-healing capacities.

What Does a Chiropractic Treatment Involve?

Every course of treatment begins with a comprehensive medical history and consultation. We take the time to understand your symptoms, health background and individual situation. This is followed by a careful examination of the spine and joints to identify possible functional restrictions.

The initial appointment usually lasts 30 to 40 minutes, as it includes consultation, examination and the first chiropractic adjustments. Follow-up visits are generally shorter and last approximately 10 to 20 minutes, depending on the findings.

Treatment is performed in various positions – such as sitting, lying down or standing. Through targeted, gentle pressure impulses, restrictions are released and communication between the nervous system and the body is supported. All techniques used are controlled, gentle and well-tolerated.

Who Is American Chiropractic Suitable For?

American chiropractic is suitable for people of all ages and may be helpful for:

  • back pain and muscular tension
  • functional disorders of the spine
  • physical strain following accidents or postural imbalances
  • sports-related complaints
  • general muscular imbalances

It can also be used alongside other forms of therapy to support overall physical regulation.

The number of sessions depends on your individual condition. In some cases, improvements are noticeable after just a few treatments; in others, ongoing supportive care over a longer period may be beneficial.

Are there any risks or side effects?

When performed correctly, American chiropractic is considered a very safe method. Occasionally, mild and temporary reactions such as muscle soreness or fatigue may occur, but these usually subside quickly.

Can American chiropractic be combined with other therapies?

Yes. American chiropractic can be effectively combined with other naturopathic or medical treatments and may complement them well.

Do I need a doctor’s referral?

No. A medical referral is not required for chiropractic treatment. However, any existing diagnoses or medical findings are, of course, taken into account.

Chiropractic USA

Chiropractic USA is the science, art and philosophy concerned with the relationships between the nervous system and the function of the body, that is, health.

Every cell, organ and organ systems are coordinated and controlled by the nervous system.

The brain is protected by the skull case and the spinal cord (running through 24 vertebral bodies) is much more easily vulnerable. The vertebral bodies are separated from each other by intervertebral discs.

If the vertebrae or intervertebral discs get out of their original position, the nervous system and its nutrition and supply system are irritated several times. The function of the organs and organ systems are withdrawn from the control and coordination of the nervous system. A vertebral subluxation complex occurs.

With Chiropractic USA, one can identify these dysfunctions and with correction, promote the body's self-healing powers, in a natural way.

The chiropractor applies gentle, controlled and targeted pressure to various areas to restore the body's failing compensatory mechanisms. The flow of information to and from the brain is restored.

The chiropractor does not heal the patient. He applies impulses to specific areas on the body. Impulses cause the body to heal itself.

Of course, not all techniques are necessary at once for the respective treatments. Depending on the findings, either only a single technique itself, or several techniques are mixed. The treatment is suitable for all ages from

0 to 88 years. The first treatment takes about 30 to 45 minutes and is also always necessary for a proper anamnesis (medical history). Further treatments depend on the particular symptoms and the techniques used for them. The quality of the treatments is therefore not to be implemented with a time factor. Thus, the further treatments can take between 10 and 20 minutes. The fee is therefore not to be equated with a time factor, but with the knowledge of the original U.S.A. Techniques Chiropractor.

Sometimes a small impulse is enough to bring the body back into balance. Two crucial factors are important here:

Start treatment, and don't stop too soon.

402 Flexion Elevation Table from America

With this hydraulic chiropractic treatment table, particularly complicated and sensitive adjustments can be performed gently and effectively.

Due to the gentle and three-dimensional application, this treatment table is also suitable for pregnant women.

With the special head section, the cervical spine can be optimally treated. The head section has a three-dimensional mobility: lateral, horizontal, downward and swiveling adjustments are possible.

Scoliosis treatment of the cervical spine, thoracic spine and lumbar spine can be treated very well due to the swiveling head and chest part.

Special relief of the intervertebral disc is well treatable by the automatic traction and disc technique of the spine.

Precise and gentle adjustment of the individual vertebrae, vertebral segments, pelvis and joints are possible due to the automatic drops.

TTPT Thompson - Terminal - Point - Technician

The principle of the Terminal Point technique is based on the one hand on the exact localization of the area to be adjusted and on the other hand on the drop technique of the instrument table, which uses kinetic energy to make the adjustment in a targeted manner.

Of course, the impulse requires the trained hands of the original U.S.A. techniques chiropractor.

Low – Force Activator / Impulse Technique

An incredible, thousandfold proven chiropractic system consisting of analysis, diagnosis and treatment. An instrument is used, which can achieve super successes in a very short time through a small impulse in a very targeted and very low-risk way (children!).

Through a series of treatments with the special instrument table, the patient can possibly be spared an intervertebral disc OP.

Durch eine Behandlungsserie mit dem speziellen Instrumenten-Tisch kann dem Patienten u.U. eine Bandscheiben O.P. erspart bleiben.

Craniopathy skull and temporomandibular joints

This is a specialized field of therapy that pays great attention to the fine micro-movements of the cranial sutures. Deviating displacements of these cranial sutures (possibly due to falls or even at birth) result in dysfunctions in the cerebrospinal fluid area and have a massive influence on the central nervous system. The temporomandibular joint is also given great importance in this technique.

Sacro - Occipital - Technique (S.O.T.)

Sacro - Occipital - Technique (S.O.T.) is advanced and proven gentle concept of chiropractic developed and perfected in the USA by osteopath and pioneer of chiropractic, Dr. De Jarnette (DC). Notable figures such as William G. Sutherland (osteopath) and George Goodheat (chiropractor) were his companions.

Through targeted but gentle pressure impulses (- not through painful setting!) and special positioning on blocks that use the patient's own weight, displaced vertebrae and vertebral segments are "adjusted" and joint subluxations (= displacement) are corrected.

The main tool of the chiropractor is his hands. For very difficult manipulations, highly technical treatment tables are used so that adjustments can be made with millimeter precision. With the help of the instrumental technique, intervertebral disc surgery is often avoided.

TOP Cervical Spine Special - Techniques

Few therapies can prove their success as chiropractic can. In order to correctly evaluate a cervical spine (HWS), a radiological examination is inevitable. In any case, the patient must receive a comprehensive explanation prior to treatment of the cervical spine.

In our practice, only low-risk techniques are used in order to exclude as far as possible complications of other methods, as repeatedly reported in the press (stroke, etc.).

Flexion - Distraction Disc - Technique

This, in the U.S.A. very popular, professional chiropractic method, is used in this country as all other aforementioned techniques also in only a few original U.S.A. techniques special practices.

Gonstead Technique

Gonstead is a fundamentalist. He says, "Chiropractic is neither an alternative medicine, nor a complementary medicine! Chiropractic is a separate science, art and philosophy. Chiropractic is based on the premise that the body is a self-healing organism and the nervous system should be considered the master control system of the entire body." Here, adjustments are made to the patient's body by trained chiropractic hands.

KST Koren Spezific Technique

The KST technique was developed by Dr. Tedd Koren, D.C.. It provides the practitioner with quick and accurate information about the patient. This includes locating various disorders, disharmonies, blockages and correcting them with low force, low-force, anywhere in the body and mind, body complex.

Patients can be analyzed and corrected while standing, sitting, lying down and in almost any position of dysfunction, subluxation, disorder.

Suitable for the between 0 and 99 years old.
